Physical Therapy in Linwood, NJ

Our Physical Therapy Protocol

In January 2022, we added physical therapy to our practice. The focus of PT will be primarily on active care (the patient does the work). This differs from the chiropractic component of achieving “wellness” where the care is more passive (done by the doctor). While our therapists do incorporate some passive care (manual therapies to treat the myofascial component), our common goal of care at Mainland Wellness is achieving a positive and lasting benefit as we move our patients toward a “wellness” outcome.

In our office, PT is done in a “boutique setting” in which our therapists treat 1-3 patients at any given time. This is unlike a traditional physical therapy office where the space is large and there is typically multiple therapists seeing as many as 5-6 patients at any given time. Using an integrative model of chiropractic and physical therapy gives us the opportunity to be in constant contact between the DC and the DPT.

Our physical therapists treat a broad demographic, from sports injuries and weekend warrior injuries (which are common in our office), to those stubborn recurring back or neck issues, and even our senior population (with a different set of physical challenges).

Some of the most common areas of concern that we actively treat include the lower back, neck, shoulders and hips, and challenges with balance and general movement in our aging population.
