Dr. Matthew Corbo

Dr. Matthew Corbo: I was born and raised in Somers Point and graduated from Mainland Regional High School in 2001. I received my undergraduate degree from Rowan University in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In May 2009, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. While in school, I had the opportunity to treat patients for one year in an outpatient clinic in Bridgeport, CT. I currently live in Egg Harbor Township with Kourtney and our furry kids, Willy and Baloo.

I have completed a 105-hour Post-Graduate Extremity Certification Program that has increased my knowledge and expertise on the diagnosis and treatment of non-spinal injuries the human body may experience.

A foundation principle of chiropractic is best summed up by a quote by Thomas Edison –“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” I am passionate about providing my patients with the highest quality, individualized healthcare. Relief of their symptoms is important, but not as important as them gaining the knowledge and ability to maintain their improved health over time.

Exercise and an active life style are important to maintaining optimal health. This can be as simple as walking 30 minutes a day or as demanding as training for a triathlon. I choose sporting activities such as surfing, snowboarding, basketball, and volleyball, combined with various cardio and strength training techniques. Kettle bells, only when used properly, are a great tool to improve strength, activate your core muscle, challenge your cardiovascular system, and maintain healthy joint biomechanics. My goal is to help my patients find activities that fit their comfort level and educate them how to perform them without the threat of injury.

Nutrition, and what we eat, plays a huge role in our overall health. If we want our bodies to function at their maximum potential, we must nourish ourselves with high-quality food. If you had the opportunity to own your dream sports car and wanted it to perform at its maximum potential, you would obviously put in high-test fuel… we should be fueling ourselves with high-quality food as well.

Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.

Dr. Arnold, Dr. Corbo and the Staff at Mainland Wellness are AMAZING! I have been going for “tune-ups” for the past 8 years and have never felt better. I originally saw the doctors because of a low back injury shoveling snow. Dr. Arnold’s adjustments had me back on my feet in no time. Thank you for all you do to keep me feeling fantastic!
